CheerCo's founder and Head Cheerleading Coach, Ashley Gholston,  has been coaching for 9 years at the high school, all-star, and collegiate level. She has won many awards for choreography and multiple national and state titles. She is a certified judge and an active member of the United States AllStar Cheerleading Federation. She enjoys being able to coach all 4 teams at CheerCo, but mostly loves the relationships she builds with her cheerleaders to mentor them and watch them grow and progress both physically and spiritually.

Coach Emily, Office Manager/Mini's Cheer Coach

Coach Emily, a freshman at TCC and former CheerCo Cheerleader, is the office manager at CheerCo All-Stars. Emily, also sharing a passion for coaching, has come on board this 2009-2010 season as our Mini's Competitive Cheerleading coach. This is Emily's first year coaching, and we are so excited to watch her grow in our mentor program here at CCA.

Coach Marty McQueen, Tumble/Cheer Coach

Coach Marty is one of CheerCo's leading tumbling and cheerleading coaches. Marty was a competitive gymnast for 14 years. After his gymnastics career, Marty wanted to share his talents to inspire younger kids as a gymnastics and cheerleading coach for 8 additional years. His national titles include a Championship season with Miami Dade Kendall and 2nd place overall as Florida State Universtiy's All-Girl Head Cheerleading Coach in 1999. He utilizes his skills by assisting Coach Ashley with this year's 2009-10 Senior Co-Ed competitive team. This is his 3rd season with CheerCo and is a huge asset to this program.

 iCoach Jen Bricker, Tumble/Cheer Coach

Coach Jen is both a cheerleading coach and tumbling coach at CheerCo. Jen was a competitive gymnast for over 10 years and also cheered for Coach Ashley at IGG in 2005. She won many State and National titles for individual cheerleading and gymnastics in her middle/high school career. She showed interest in becoming a coach, and after she graduated she came on as an Assistant Coach for Ashley in the 2006 season at IGG. After 3 years assisting, she is taking on her first year as the coach of the Junior level 2 team at CheerCo this season. Coach Jen is not only a coach, but also in her spare time mentors the cheerleaders by tutoring them before and after practice in their school studies. Jen is a full time student at FSU and is very involved in assisting Coach Ashley in the daily functions of CheerCo.

 Coach Brittany Dover, Office Manager/Cheerleading Coach

Coach Brittany Dover is the sister of owner Ashley Gholston. Having cheered all through high school at North Florida Christian, she is now in her 2nd year as the head JV Cheerleading Coach for NFC. She assists in the office and also brings her NFC squads to CheerCo for tumbling twice a week. Coach Brittany is a full time student and shares in her sisters passion for impacting cheerleaders lives and mentorship. CheerCo is lucky to have Brittany on their staff!

 Coach Rachel Connor, Recreational Cheer/Competitive Cheer

Coach Rachel, a graduate of Florida State University and former FSU Cheerleader, is the head coach of CheerCo's Recreational Performance Teams. She has been with CheerCo from the beginning, coaching all 3 teams, ranging in ages 3-14 to advance the basic skills of cheerleading and tumbling. Coach Rachel is a shining light to all her girls and has helped many to achieve their goals of becoming competitive cheerleaders. CheerCo would not be the same without Coach Rachel's patience and skill to ensure that each aspiring cheerleader learns the key elements of the sport and works with them to advance their talent to the next level. This 2009-2010 season Coach Rachel will be joining our competitive coaching staff and coaching our Youth and Junior teams.

Coach Dusty Burrow, Cheerleading Coach

Coach Dusty is a very special part of CheerCo's Cheerleading program. Being Coach Ashley's best friend and former roomate, Dusty was a vital part in starting CheerCo and helping begin the business. Coach Dusty was the head collegiate cheerleading coach for TCC's cheer squad guiding them to win their first National Title in 2005, and allowing Ashley her first opportunity to choreograph a college national routine. Also coming from IGG's coaching staff, Dusty coached the Mini's competitive team and Junior team building relationships and bonding with the girls; this is what kept them motivated last season winning three 2nd place titles! Though Coach Dusty has since moved to Kansas, she is a part of our program and is still considered a coach here at CheerCo. She attends multiple events supporting all of her former cheerleaders and will always be considered one of CheerCo's best.

Coach Eric, tumbling coach

Eric is a student and cheerleader at FAMU. Recently moved here from down south, Eric is the newest member of our tumbling coaching staff. Eric coaches all of our recreational and youth tumbling classes as well as assists our competitive teams.

Coach Brooke, cheerleading coach

Brooke joined our staff last season as an assistant to our Performance teams. She has sinced earned her way into a position on our competitive coaching staff. Brooke has a passion for cheerleading, being a competitive and high school cheerleader here locally all her life. Brooke will be working with our Youth, Junior and Senior competitive teams this 2009-2010 season!

MEET OUR BOOSTER CLUB OFFICERS

Cheer Company Booster Club (CCBC) is a non-profit organization who coordinates sponsorships, fundraisers and multiple opportunities for competitive cheerleaders and parents to raise money for their tuition and competition fees each season. The purpose of this organization shall be to promote and support the CHEER CO Cheerleading & Dance Program. The CCBC will provide financial assistance through monthly fundraising projects and future operational and educational activities that promote and support the development of good sportsmanship, squad unity and mutual respect.  

Abby Thorn, CCBC President

Abby Thorn, mother of 3 children, and full time nurse is CheerCo's Booster Club President. Having served last year as Co-Chair and with 2 cheerleaders in the gym, Morgan, 13, on the Junior team and Jordan, 14, a cross-competitor on Juniors and Seniors, Abby is in the gym 5 days a week!  Abby has been with Coach Ashley for 4 years and is one of her biggest supporters. CheerCo can always count on Abby to have the gym put together and each event organized and planned. CheerCo thanks Abby and her family for all the dedicated hours!

 Paige Huffman, CCBC Treasurer

Paige Huffman, mother of 2 children, professional photographer and accountant, is CheerCo's Booster Club Treasurer. Paige has been with Ashley from the beginning of CheerCo as the accountant for the CCBC and the gym. Paige spends countless volunteer hours coordinating all accounts for each cheerleader and event. Paiges daughter and prior gymnast, Kim, 13, is a cross competitor on CheerCo's Junior and Senior teams and has been with Ashley since IGG. Paige is also our gym photographer for all competitions and events. CheerCo is lucky to have Paige and her family as a part of their program.   

Michele Lewis, CCBC Secretary

Michele Lewis, a working mother of 2 girls, is CheerCo's Booster Club Secretary. Michele is a true "gym" mom; having one daughter a Level 8 gymnast at International Gold Gymnastics(IGG) and serving as their Booster President, and the other daughter, Sarah, 12, a cross-competitor for CheerCo's Junior and Senior teams, Michele never stops!! Having been with Ashley at IGG and supporting her move to CheerCo, Michele continues to spend most afternoons at both gyms helping as an officer, and supporter for her daughters. Michele corrdinates all of the minutes from each Booster meeting and is always dependable to answer any questions for all the parents. CheerCo thanks Michele and her family for all the volunteer hours and the support she gives to the gym!
